Our busy pulmonary practice is seeking a Front Office Support professional to assist in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Responsibilities:
1.
Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
2.
Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system.
3.
Schedule patient appointments and efficiently manage the appointment calendar.
4.
Answer phone calls promptly and address patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
5.
Verify insurance information, obtain referral authorizations and process necessary paperwork for billing purposes.
6.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow within the practice.
7.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front office area.
8.
Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, collecting copayments, and providing necessary forms or documentation.
9.
Work closely with the billing department to address any billing-related inquiries or issues.
10.
Manage office supplies and ensure the availability of necessary forms and informational materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is beneficial.
